Great Training Starts Here

Our Illinois Conceal Carry Course is 16 hours of expert instruction — includes classroom and range time learning safety and operations of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students will learn:

   • Rules for safe gun handling
   • Pistol parts and operation
   • Proper cleaning of pistols
   • Ammunition types, parts, and operations
   • Shooting fundamentals
   • Shooting from two handed standing position
   • Range rules
   • Plus, opportunities for continuing skills development

Class will cover all State required elements to fulfill your application for a concealed carry permit. We will also cover the actual application process, as well as other items needed for you to complete the State’s permit application on line.

All Classroom Instruction and Shooting will be held at Mega Sports.

Classroom only.

Mega Sports Range Fee is not included. Pistol rental and ammunition will be available for those needing it. Mega Sports standard pricing will apply.

This course teaches basic safety and shooting fundamentals, including range safety and supervised shooting. The course typically runs 3-4 hours long. Pricing does not include range fee or ammunition. Please Note Sunday Courses Begin Promptly at 10am!

Defensive Pistol Course
This class is to learn how to draw from a holster. Most of this class is range time. There is a big difference between picking a gun up at the range and knowing how to safely draw from concealment. Register for this course today to get the skills you need to be a better conceal carry operator!

Where are classroom instruction courses held?

Our professional classroom* is conveniently located inside Mega Sports facility in Plainfield, IL. Due to the length of classroom time, there will scheduled breaks for lunch. The location offers many food options nearby.

Where does qualification shooting take place?

The State of Illinois requires CCW applicants meet the minimum standard for shooting accuracy. This qualification will occur after classroom instruction at Mega Sports professional indoor range located on the main floor.

Do you need to own a firearm to take our Conceal Carry Class?


If you own a firearm, you may use it during the qualification portion of the course. If you do not yet own a firearm, there will be rentals available at the range which you may use during the qualification portion of the course  (fees subject to range rates).
